Research on preparedness shows that property owners and managers who believe themselves "prepared" for disasters often aren't as prepared as they think. In a National survey, 40% of respondents did not have written plans, 80% had not conducted home evacuation drills, and nearly 60% of residents did not know their local evacuation protocol.
Our nation's emergency managers, firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMT/paramedics, and other first responders do an incredible job of keeping us safe, but they can't do it alone. We must all embrace our individual responsibility to be prepared. In doing so, we contribute to the safety and security of our properties, communities, and the entire nation.
Becoming more proactive and prepared in case of an emergency is easier than you might think. Whether it's your home, your housing community, your place of business, or your school, you can take a few simple steps to properly prepare. This event will provide you with the awareness and basics for getting started. Please Join Us.

An assault occurs in the United States every 34 seconds. The ability to improve your situation when you find yourself in a bad one is not just for people of a certain age, gender or fitness level. Because anyone can be targeted by an attacker, everyone deserves the ability to improve their defenses. Prior experience isn’t necessary to learn real life self-defense. Please join us on May 15th to increase your awareness of these issues, build confidence and become better prepared.
